Sugarfoot Stomp is an Incorporated Society with Tier 4 New Zealand Registered Charitable status established in 2018. It is run by its members and supported by a Board of volunteers.

  • Sugarfoot Stomp is a dance club run by members, for its members and the wider Wellington swing dance community.

Our mission is to promote swing dancing – a Black American Cultural Art Form – in the Wellington region by educating the public through classes, events, and performances. We keep people connected face-to-face through experiencing the joys of vintage solo and partnered swing dancing.

Members help Sugarfoot Stomp promote its mission by maintaining Registered Charitable Status, contributing to the society’s financial stability, and helping to organise and run classes and events!
